Funding opportunities from our Consortium

Navigation of the research, development, and innovation organisational landscape is difficult within the UK, with insufficient permeability of ideas, people and technologies between sectors. Our Consortium will strengthen interactions between academia and other sectors by running annual rounds of funding competition to support individual projects that contribute to inward and outward mobility and staff development.

Funding will be targeted towards applications with an inter-/transdisciplinary focus with applications from early career research and technical posts prioritised. Calls will be flexible in the activities supported but will ensure a focus on the exchange of personnel, perspectives, knowledge, skills and expertise between academic and industrial/third- and/or public sectors, including international placements.

Competitions will support day release to longer term placements, technology transfer activities, secondments, and discipline/sector hopping training.
